I am so happy to share my story with you and how this brand came to be Laura Vivienne.

At the age of 30, after putting it off for 10 years, I dropped everything and moved to downtown Los Angeles. Not knowing anyone, it was here that I studied to earn my second degree, this time at FIDM in Merchandise Product Development. I remember very clearly, it was the first time in my life I truly felt 'alive'; and following a dream to design dresses was all the fuel I needed. Since then, I have created a life in Los Angeles. I feel so honored everyday to live and design in 'the city of angels'. To be amongst the dreamers in this beautiful city that I call home. After graduating from FIDM, I worked for some incredibly well known brands all over Los Angeles. Six years into my career, I decided it was time to launch my own; Laura Vivienne was born.

I have always been fascinated by the depth in life. The depth in people. Their own unique stories. When I was young, it was the awe of the movies. The characters and drama captivated me. Later, it became theater and fashion, specifically dresses! The emotion one dress can hold in the design itself paired with the woman wearing it, made me fall in love.

The word Vivienne means 'alive' - and what I hope to bring to you is a space, a brand that feels alive. Lifestyle products that add drama & beauty into the moment. Dresses that bring out the emotion in the soul of the woman wearing it. The feeling you can take on the world, be the life of any party, dance the night away all while being the happiest version of yourself! (in LAURA VIVIENNE of course :) )

Inspiration? Well, I am not drawn to anything too perfect, in fact it bores me. I am most inspired by imperfections, interactions with everyday people in everyday life, and that hint of hope that gets us all through each day. I feel inspired by every connection I’ve ever had, every party I’ve ever been to, every high in life and every low. Inspiration is everywhere. I want this brand to inspire your love for life ... in our aesthetic, designs and any images we put out there. I hope it lights a spark in you.

From my inspiration, every Laura Vivienne product is designed with an organic aspect to it. Not every fabric roll is the same, colors may vary & the silhouettes may not be symmetrical. But what each design does possess is a story, a feeling and a moment to bring it to life.
